LHGT is the main fundraising venture for local charity Largs Youth Theatre (LYT). It was set up by volunteer members of LYT in 2009 . LHGT was originally planned as a one-off competition as part of the Viking festival. However, the 2009 competition proved to be a huge success, with around a hundred applicants and a show that could have sold out many times over. As a result, it was decided that the competition would be run again the following year and it is now celebrating its 6 year anniversary.

LHGT is run by a dedicated production team that aim to make each year’s show bigger and better whilst ensuring that all of our acts have a great experience that will be remembered for years to come. Applications for LHGT 2014 are now open.
